Our Story

Discovering our combined passion for livestock, my son and I purposed to own our own Black Angus Cattle Ranch in early 2016. From the beginning, we were confident that the foundation of this company would rest on authentic, family-owned and operated values that result in high-quality, sustainable, balanced cattle. We love what we do, and we love that you want to be a part of it.

Our story really begins when I retired from my career in the Army and my son, Sal III, graduated from Texas A&M. We quickly began the steps to establish ourselves by purchasing two Registered Bred Heifers from Pharis Anderson in Jacksboro, Tx. Now, six years later, gaining incredible experience and friendships along the way, we are known for being a leader within the livestock community and are loving every moment along the way within the best industry. We look forward to working with you!

Our Operation

Spinelli Angus Ranch comprises of two locations stretched across 76 acres. The base of our operation is in Decatur, TX, where we wean calves, doctor and prepare our heifers for birth. The other portion of the Ranch, located in Bellevue, TX, is where the majority of our herd grazes. Here at Spinelli Angus Ranch, we raise higher-quality black Angus cattle while focusing on genetics. Not to mention, we also preserve the phenotype that makes our herd unique. Spinelli Angus Ranch is a family-owned business, and we tend to our animals with the same care and passion as we do our own family.
